PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I gathered a lot of the pictures that I've taken over the last few years and put them into photoshop and I used the different features on the app (threshold, curves, hue/saturation, posterize, to edit the pictures. Then I printed them using a photo printer I have at home. I then made measurements of the Printed pictures and used mat board to make frames for the pictures. We participated in a critique to help us notice the things we can add or take away from our project to make it better. PROJECT REFLECTION: When we were given the freedom to chose our own project, I chose to create a stencil using a picture of my cousin. I didn't realize that the image would probably take weeks to cut out, so I decided to start a different project. I found a lot of pictures that I had taken on my phone and put them into photoshop. I played around with the features in the program until I though the photo looked nice or different. When I printed the pictures, I was really happy with the final product and I was excited to frame them. I liked the freedom we had in this project, and I liked that it gave us the opportunity to try new things without having to worry that we would make any big mistakes. I think that everyone learned a lot of lessons and new skills in a lot of different programs, and new art techniques as well. In the future, I could use these new skills and techniques to make my pictures more visually pleasing and and I could frame them and sell them. I could also get a job editing and framing pictures for a photographer. Once I got started in this project, I really enjoyed it and I'm happy with the final product.
